After introducing himself to the French league, Kyle Allman Jr. is considering an offer from LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, according to Eurohoops sources.
Allman, 24, has been slated as a potential replacement for Elie Okobo on the roster of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participant. The talks were extended beyond the initial offer looking to reduce the distance between the two sides and reach an agreement.
Okobo, 24, will be on his way out following the Betclic Elite LNB Pro A Finals. After ranking first in the Regular Season and securing the homecourt advantage through the Playoffs, T.J. Parker’s side is set to collide with fellow EuroLeague team AS Monaco in a best-of-five series to crown the France champion.
As for the Cal State Fullerton product dancing through his third professional campaign, he averaged 15.0 points, 4.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 0.2 blocks per contest helping Paris secure a second straight campaign in the top-tier division of France. The 13-21 W-L tally was one win away from the relegation zone and good enough for the 15th spot among 18 teams.
The explosive point guard previously played for VEF Riga. His stint with the Latvia giant included 12 games played in the Basketball Champions League, to date his only displays in a European club competition. In addition, he was named Finals MVP leading his side to the domestic LBL title.
Putting up 11.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game painted the picture of his first showing in the Old Continent competing in Greece’s Stoiximan Basket League as a member of Lavrio in 2019-20.
