The headline news today is that Alexandre Lacazette has re-joined Lyon.
He spent five years at the Emirates following a £52million move from Lyon in 2017 but departed the club when his contract expired at the end of the season just finished.
It was believed that the Frenchman wanted Champions League football however Lacazette explained his decision to sign for Lyon who have no European football next season.
He said: “Even without Europe, the project is important.
“I felt useful in the locker room and on the pitch. It was the best decision to make.”
In other news, Arsenal’s move for Gabriel Jesus is facing difficulties after it emerged that Tottenham and Chelsea as well as others are all in for him, which will only increase the price.
Additionally, the Gunners are “confident” a deal can be sorted for Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans, via CBS.
Another midfield option they are keen on is Arthur Melo of Juventus. But the Italian side are demanding, according to The Express, either Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes head to Turin in a swap deal.
