It’s said that the Gunners would be willing to pay over £42million to sign the Serbian international.
However, Lazio could look to hold out for at least £55million for their inspirational midfielder, who they are in no rush to sell with two years left on his deal.
Newcastle are another club said to be interested in the 27-year-old, but are not thought to be an attractive proposition for the Serbian star.

Xhaka signed a one-year extension to his Arsenal contract and was a regular under Mikel Arteta last season.
However, it’s stated that it would be a dream for Xhaka to play under Mourinho.
Xhaka has been praised for his performances at Arsenal this season, after struggling to win over fans during his time at the Emirates.
He was unable to help the Gunners qualify for the Champions League however, as they missed out by two points to rivals Tottenham.
