Mauricio Pochettino still has the backing of his Chelsea players despite their dire run of form, talkSPORT understands.
Pochettino has lost seven of his 16 Premier League games in charge but there is no indication owner Todd Boehly is contemplating yet another change of manager.
The Argentine believes turning Chelsea’s fortunes around is a long-term project.
That’s despite a staggering £1billions worth of investment in the squad during the last three transfer windows.
Chelsea’s most recent result saw them defeated 2-0 away at Everton, leaving them 12th in the Premier League table.
Of the 17 ever-present top flight teams in 2023, no side has fewer points than the Blues 39 during the calendar year.
Pochettino, the former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain manager, was Boehly’s second full-time appointment in the summer after Graham Potter.
Inheriting Champions League winner Thomas Tuchel in 2022, Boehly replaced the German with Potter, before cutting the former Brighton boss short and bringing in Frank Lampard on an interim basis.
