Training footage has left Manchester United fans feeling rather pessimistic ahead of their Champions League clasg against Bayern Munich.
Erik ten Hag’s side face Bayern Munich at Old Trafford in a match they have to win to stand a chance of reaching the last 16.
United currently sit bottom of Group A with just one win and four points to their name from five matches on the continent.
They return to their home turf three days after they were beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth, their 11th defeat of the season in all competitions.
Ten Hag will have his players working hard ahead of the clash, but some fans may have a hint of worry after watching a training clip.
Reporter Andy Mitten posted a video of them going through a rondo drill used to practice passing and possession in tight spaces, as well as defending skills for the players in the middle.
A number of United stars can be seen involved but are struggling to generate more than four passes in that particular clip.
One attempt was sent high and wide, and fans took to social media to express their worries ahead of such a crucial match.
“Our performances make sense now,” one said on X amid a season of poor showings on the pitch.
A second added: “Quality in training is… interesting.”
“What is this fgs,” a third simply asked.
A fourth also said: “Hmmm… not more than 3-4 stringed passes?! This makes sense now.”
United’s clash against Bayern on Tuesday night is just the first of two massive fixtures in a week that could go on to define their season.
Victory against the German giants and a draw in FC Copenhagen’s match against Galatasaray will take them to the last 16.
United then travel to rivals Liverpool in the Premier League five days later, with the Reds sitting ten points clear of them at the top of the table.
