All’s well that ends well and that’s what happened to Danielle Kang… Her golf bag has finally arrived at its destination in Andalusia, Spain and the story has now ended on a positive note. The American player will be able to play with her clubs, even though she had been provided with another replacement bag.
Danielle Kang, the current situation
Danielle Kang’s cries for help had their effect. The airline which had lost its clubs at Amsterdam airport has finally transported the precious bag to the Finca Cortesin resort. As a result, she now is in possession of two bags since her equipment supplier had provided her with replacement clubs the day before!
It was her teammate Stacy Lewis who was the first to post the good news on social media. During this three-day wait without her clubs, Danielle Kang only practiced chipping (with a makeshift wedge) and putting. She actually had the good idea of traveling with her putter in hand luggage… Here are the Americans ready to face the Europeans and that’s so much the better!
The Ladies European Tour (LET) is the professional circuit for female golfers (proettes) created in 1979, based in England. Most of the golfers who participate are European but it is possible to see golfers of non-European nationality, the largest contingent of which is Australian.
It is the equivalent of the LPGA for the European continent. Its mission is to organize and set up the various tournaments of the year, these can be organized outside Europe and/or be registered with another circuit (such as the Evian Masters which is also registered on the LPGA Tour).
Each year is rewarded with several trophies. The European Order of Merit is a ranking established on the victories obtained during the season. In the past, this ranking has sometimes used a points system.
